Sleepover

We recently had one of Evelyn's friends stay with us for a few days while her parents were taking some classes. It wasn't really a sleepover since Mabel's parents did come take her home each night a little while after her bedtime. But the two girls got ready for bed at the same time and went to sleep together in the same room - Evelyn in her big girl bed and Mabel in the crib that we left set up and will one day move Isaiah into.

I'm really enjoying watching Evelyn's social interactions develop. She has become more and more aware of who people are and enjoys the company of kids her own age. It's nice to have some good friends with children that Evelyn can play with. Of course, there are always the issues of learning to share and take turns with toys, but there are some real fun moments too. Evelyn and Mabel really enjoyed chasing each other up and down the hallway, having giggle fests and coloring together.

After spending so much time together the two seemed to really form a bond. Evelyn has now named one of her dolls Mabel - or Coco, depending on who she's thinking of that day. :)

Ready for bed.

Playing with puzzles. Mabel is a pro with puzzles and could put them together pretty quickly.

Finally!

A post for all of you who have been anxiously anticipating some updated photos!
