Catching Up

This won't be a long post, mostly just pictures and a few anecdotes to catch you up on the past couple months.

My mom came over to visit in February to give Jeremy and I a night out together for Valentine's day. Unfortunately, Jeremy had just gotten sick with a really bad sinus infection, so instead of just the two of us going out for Valentine's Day, we all went up to the neighborhood restaurant for dinner, then home to bed. It still ended up being a nice relaxing time and was good to see my mom. Evelyn enjoyed the extra attention too. We did go to the park one day that wasn't too cold or rainy. Evelyn loves the swings and the slide.

A few days after my mom left, one of my good friends came into Seattle for a visit. She organized a walk around Greenlake with a bunch of girlfriends and their kids. We took a lunch/play break at the playground half-way around the lake. Above are Samuel, Cody, Evelyn, Audrey and Erin enjoying their PBJs. And of course, Evelyn went down the slide again and again.


Evelyn's become quite the little ham around the camera. She'll see the camera and say "take picture, take picture." When you tell her to smile she'll give you the goofiest grin. Then wants to see it right away.

We finally got a membership to the zoo and used it for the first time a few weeks ago. They have a new indoor play area for kids where they can bring in exhibits and educational programs. Evelyn and I met up with a couple of other mom's there and the kids had fun playing around in the play area and then going around to see some of the animals. It was a good day to go and we saw quite a few animals. Evelyn is particularly enthralled with the Gorrillas. She also got to see the Lions, Tigers, and saw the Elephant getting a bath. I think we'll be getting a lot of use out of our membership!
