Merry Christmas

Dear family & friends,

Merry Christmas from Anchorage, Alaska where we are celebrating the holidays with Jeremy's family.

This year has been a whirlwind highlighted by the birth of our second child, Isaiah Franklin Shultz on April 27, 2009. Having another child has certainly challenged our family more than I think either of us had expected. Balancing the needs and wants of 2 kids has probably been the biggest challenge and I'm constantly battling "mommy guilt". I asked Jeremy if he ever had "daddy guilt." Apparently there is no such thing.

Evelyn (2 1/2 years old) certainly enjoys being a big sister and loves playing and "mothering" Isaiah. It's very sweet watching the two of them interact. Isaiah is just fascinated by her and watches everything she does. And Evelyn doesn't hesitate to show Isaiah how to do something like putting on shoes or using the potty.

Isaiah is now 8 months old and on the move! He's definitely more mobile and curious than Evelyn was at this age and keeps us busy trying to keep him out of harm's way. He's very sweet and happy and just as social as Evelyn is.

We're enjoying this much-needed time off with the family, and send all of you our best wishes for a Merry Christmas and blessed New Year.

With love,
Margaret, Jeremy, Evelyn & Isaiah Shultz
